A) I treat the patient in the holistic way.I have been practising for the last 14 years, did M.D in Ayurveda from Podar Medical College in Worli, but the the true roots of my passion for the ancient form of Indian medicine, laid by my grandfather's skills who was an Ayurvedic expert.Early on my childhood,I was influenced by Ayurveda, which I now practise as a worship towards the knowledge of the seers and understood the human body and mind in its true form.

Q) What is Nadipareksha ?
A) With Nadipareksha, being the base of Ayurveda, the 5000 years-old treatment insists on purification and detoxification therapy, which gives a long healthy life and prevents all degenerative chronic diseases.Ayurvedic treatment involves establishing an individual's mind-body constitution and nature of imbalance initially and then seeking to return to a state of healthy balance. The treatment consists of the use of herbal remedies, special Ayurvedic massage therapies, dietary, lifestyle advice and other aspects of treatment, tailor made for that individual.

Q) How much time periods is taken for the patient?
A) The time period for the Ayurvedic treatments are guidelines it might take for a session. The exact time differ depending on the needs of the client and a good Ayurvedic physician will design the treatment around the client. Therefore the treatment will defer in terms of time, intensity and oils used,in order to meet the clients specific requirements.

A) It increases tissue strenght, improves blood circulation, rejuvenates the whole body, removes cellulite, beautifies the skin, anti aging, helps sleep better, promotes vitality, reduces vata imbalance, stress and toxins.Abyangam can increase the production of white blood corpuscles and antibodies, which provide more resistance against viruses and diseases. This helps the defence mechanism in the body and increases immunity towards environmental changes. In this way this abyangam massage is a protector, perserver and a rejuvenator, increasing self-confidence and will power. To massage means is to exercise the nervous system.

Q) What is Shirodhara and it's benefits?
A) Shirdhara is the best treatment for body and mind in this rainy season. To begin with, some oil suited to the patient's dosha condition is applied on the crown. This is a prerequisite in almost all oil treatments.A headband(vartti) is tied just above the ear level to prevent oil from flowing into the eyes. The patient is then made to lie on his back on the droni with the head rested properly. The position of the head should be such that the steam from the vessel falls at the centre of the forehead. The therapist then fills the vessel. When the oil that trickles down the wick starts to fall on the patient's forehead, the therapist moves the vessal to and fro gently to ensure that the oil covers the entire region between the temples which he gently massages the area with his other hand. The duration of a dhara is usually between 30 to 50 minutes. This treatment is indicated for insanity, severe illnesses due to disorder of vata, chronis cold, sinusitis, diseases of the eyes, ears and so on.
This results in a fantastic sense of deep relaxation and inner peace, highly effective in removing mental stress and anxieties,in treating insomnia and headaches and improves memory.
The benefits are many and you will be out of many diseases like Depression,Diabetic,Insomnia,Paralysis,Stress,Epilepsy etc

Q) What is Panchakarma Chikitsa?
A) This term means five actions in Sanskrit,Pancha meaning five and Karma meaning action. It is referred to as five stages of healing and is used as a procedure to excrete waste. It involves five purifying procedures that are an essential part of Shodana Chikitsa or treatment. They are Vaman (induced emesis),Virechan (induced purgation),Basti (medicated enemas),Nasya (nasal cleaning) and Raktamokshan (blood purification).Basti heals the neurological and obesity problems,Virechan purify the vascular system and skin ailments,Vaman cures asthma and allergy and Nasya checks migrane, cervical spondilosis and facial paralysis.

Q) In Ayurveda, how many doshas (medical humours) are there?
A) In ayurveda there are 3 main doshas, which are Vata (resembles the classical element air).Pitta (fire) and Kapha ( water). All bodily prcesses are believed to be governed by a balance of the 3 doshas.Whichever dosha appears to dominate a person's behavior and physique is called his constitution type. Each constitution type has particular strengths and susceptibilities.
In summary,Ayurveda represents a system that considers both the states of mind and body in its diagnosis and treatment.Ayurveda took into consideration the fact that many illnesses are caused by foreign agents ans small organisms that may require intervention.Patients are classified by body types,or prakriti, which are determined by proportions of the three doshas,Illness and disease are considered to be a matter of imbalance in the doshas.Treatment is aimed at restoring harmony or balance to the mind and body system. Thus according to the Ayurveda each individual is a combination of the three doshas of Vata,Pitta and Kapha or one of these doshas.
