Vikram Bhatt to make India 's first ' creature' film!

After the stupendous success of 1920, Vikram Bhatt is back with a big announcement, the director who has churned out horror block busters one after the other be it Raaz, Kasoor or his latest 1920 is ready with an ambitious plan. He is all set to launch Bollywood's most expensive horror film to date. It is rumoured to have a budget of about 100 crores no less!

No one in Bollywood so far has dared to take this step and make a film entirely devoid of top stars. The hero of Vikram's feature film will be believe it or not.. a creature!

This genre of films is called a creature film n Hollywood film parlance and so far Hollywood has made money spinning creature films like Jaws, Jurassic Park etc.

Keeping in that tradition Vikram Bhatt plans to make an all out creature film. A trendsetter of sorts, this film will be marked in history for being India 's first ever creature genre film.

A source reveals, "Vikram is planning to get special effects and technical assistance from the technical guys who have worked with Spielberg and the likes. He is currently in the U S meeting up with the respective experts."

When contacted, Vikram did confirm that he was in the U .S. but refused to divulge details on this ambitious venture. "Yes, I'm planning to announce something very big. Wait and watch but it's too early to tell u the details. I'm working on this script for a creature film and yes, I'm meeting up with certain people on the same. But I will make the announcement when everything's ready."

Not content with basking in on the super success of 1920, Vikram's working hard on three films back to back, two home-productions, one to be shot in London and one titled Shapit starring Aditya Narayan. And last but not the least, his most ambitious venture to date- the creature film. " Every filmmaker has a genre he's comfortable with and every filmmaker is a peddler. Karan Johar peddles emotions. Yashraj peddles romance. Priyadrshan and David Dhawan peddle comedy. I peddle fear! And I teach my audience how to fight their fear and come out stronger!"
